Leading Scottish retailers have made a commitment to supply more local food and drink in their stores.
More than 20 groups including David Sands and Botterills have agreed to promote local produce by working with Scotland's food and drink suppliers.
The Scottish government has created a Retailers' Charter, encouraging shops and suppliers to work together on issues such as promotion, information for customers, responsible retailing and managing food waste.
Scottish Grocers' Federation chief executive John Drummond welcomed the focus on local produce. "This is an opportunity to explore how we can work in partnership with the Scottish government to continue to deliver the best for Scottish customers," he said.
David Sands added that Scottish retailers needed to start showcasing local produce.
"Some retailers have previously paid lip service to local suppliers, but now we all need to show that we care passionately about Scottish food and drink," he said.
