Independent Scottish convenience store chain David Sands has launched a new chilled distribution arm and is seeking partnerships with local Scottish suppliers.
The Kinross-based company, which is largely supplied by Nisa-Today's, has invested a five-figure sum in the new facility, just two years after opening a £1.5m warehouse and head office facility.
Managing director David Sands said that the development would give it the opportunity to offer a much wider range.
He said: "We remain committed to Nisa, but see our new chilled distribution facility as complementary to NisaChill, enabling us to source fresh produce and other chilled lines."
