Unilever UK is targeting the growing £1.4bn chilled ready meals market with a range of nine products under the Colman's, Knorr and Bertolli brands.
The products are available exclusively to the convenience sector, and Unilever will be working together with Greencore Prepared Meals in both manufacturing and distributing the range.
Available now, the range comprises Bertolli Lasagne, Bertolli Vegetable Lasagne, Bertolli Spaghetti Carbonara, Colman's Beef Casserole & Horseradish Dumplings, Colman's Cottage Pie, Colman's Sausage & Mustard Mash, Knorr Sweet & Sour Chicken with Rice, Knorr Chicken Korma & Pilau Rice, and Knorr Chicken Tikka Masala & Pilau Rice. All have a rrp of £3.29.
Charlotte Brown, customer development project leader at Unilever, says: "This is an exciting launch for the Knorr, Colman's and Bertolli brands as it is the first time these brands have been expanded into the chilled ready meals category in the UK.
