Wholesale group Palmer and Harvey has launched a website to allow retailers more flexibility when ordering.
The site, initially trialled in August, has now been rolled out to all customers. Members will be able to choose from more than 7,000 lines and deliveries will be made within 48 hours of ordering.
The site will also keep a record of past orders and ‘favourite’ items. Lines recommended by Palmer and Harvey will also be flagged to retailers.
The new service is designed to complement the existing telesales ordering system and allows retailers to pick the products they want 24 hours a day. Mobile access and user offers are also in the pipeline.
Palmer and Harvey marketing director Richard Hayhoe said: “Our face-to-face contact with customers is something we pride ourselves on and it remains central to our service offering. However, to meet demand for greater flexibility we have supplemented this service with our new website.”
