One Stop has signed a technology deal with Eagle Eye Solutions enabling shoppers to redeem vouchers in store using their mobile phones.

The company’s AIR platform allows the Tesco-owned store group to issue real-time, personalised offers and e-coupons via SMS and email, which can be scanned from phones at the till point.

The system will be running in all stores including One Stop franchises and will also be available to One Stop brand partners. The new deal follows the success of a World Cup promotion with Coca Cola, which encouraged customers to play digital penalty shoot-out game.

If the user scored they were rewarded with a range of prizes from a free Coke to a Sony PS4, with prizes redeemed via keyed entry in store using a code sent to the winner’s mobile phone.

Lizzie Reynolds, head of marketing at One Stop, said: “Convenience is at the heart of our business and using the Eagle Eye AIR platform enables real-time, personalised offers to be delivered direct to our customers via SMS and email. This is a real step forward for our customers, as it means we can give them the deals and offers that they really want.”
