Nisa has revealed a positive set of recruitment figures for the year to April 2013, with 245 new members having joined the group.

The figures come less than a month after Costcutter’s decision to leave the group and sign a new distribution deal with Palmer & Harvey.

Many of the 245 new members, who between them operate 520 stores, had joined Nisa from competitor symbol groups, sales director Andrew J Mouse said.

“These excellent results are testament to the strength of the Nisa retail member solutions on offer today which continue to meet the ever changing consumer expectations at all levels,” he added.

“These results acknowledge the enhanced level of retail support available to all members, helping them to develop all aspects of their stores.”
