Nisa has been named as the top symbol group at the inaugural symbol awards, organised by HIM.

Retailers affiliated to all the major symbols were asked to rate their group on a variety of criteria, including product range, marketing, ease of ordering, communication, price competitiveness, own label and business support. Nisa scored the highest rating on the largest number of criteria, and so was named the champion.

Nisa chief executive Neil Turton (right), group symbol director John Heagney (top), and retailer Kishor Patel, chair of the Nisa symbol group committee (left), accepted the award from HIM senior client director Tara Benjamin at a lunchtime event in a London restaurant.

Heagney commented: “It is fantastic news that the Nisa symbol group has been awarded the accolade for the Best Symbol Group, particularly as this is voted for by all of the main symbol group members. It shows that Nisa retailers are really pleased with what the company is producing for them and we are thrilled as we always strive to work hard for our members and provide the best possible service.”
