Profits at the East of England Co-op have jumped 5% to more than £9m in the past year.
The society, which bought independent chain Anglian Convenience Stores in February this year, said that expansion across the region had contributed heavily to the increase in its profits.
"This is a robust first full-year trading result for East Anglia's biggest consumer co-op, and good news for our 350,000 members and our customers," said chief executive Richard Samson.
The integration of the 20 Anglian Convenience Stores was also well under way, with completion scheduled for the end of August, he added.
