Charles Wilson, CEO of Booker, is the new president of Sweet Charity, the official charity to the confectionery industry. Wilson will be President for the next 12 months and replaces Dave Pogson of Cadbury.
Wilson said he hoped to continue the work achieved by the charity. "My aims are simple: to build on the great work that the charity already does and to help grow the funds raised last year to ensure that Sweet Charity can continue to help those from our industry who need support."
Last year Sweet Charity helped more than 1,500 people in the confectionery trade with practical and emotional support.
