Bosses at the newly renamed HT&CO cash and carry in West London's Park Royal are hoping to grow sales by 20% following a major depot refit and re-branding exercise.
Managing director Prakash Thakrar said the name change from Hothi Cash & Carry signalled a new direction for the business, which was recently ranked 14th in
The Sunday Times' annual Profit Track 100 table, with an annual profit growth of 85.7%.
Selling space in the redesigned depot has been extended from 18,000 to 28,000sq ft and a larger car park has been built. This had already prompted a substantial jump in customer numbers, Thakrar said, and the brighter, more welcoming interior had also improved the working environment for staff.
The company is now set to launch phase two of the redevelopment process.
Work on a further 15,000sq ft extension to house a greater range of soft drinks at the back of the site is due for completion in January.
The company is also considering the development of an on-trade offer.
