Smiths News has reported a massive uptake of its SNapp retailer mobile phone app.

According to the wholesaler, 1,900 retailers have downloaded the app since its launch in August, already exceeding its first-year target of 1,000.

The app is free to download to iPhone and Android devices to all Smiths News customers. It allows retailers to manage deliveries, make alterations, claim for missing titles or credit, and organise their range.

Smiths has reported that the most popular function on the app is ‘my orders’ which allows retailers to order extra copies and add new titles.

Sarb Daley of Sarb’s Convenience Store in Wolverhampton praised SNapp. “I don’t need to call Smiths News half as much now,” he said. “I’ve told retailers in my area how easy it is to use. Having SNapp definitely makes my life a lot easier.”
