Spar wholealer in Scotland CJ Lang is to increase its franchise partnership with the Post Office.
Spar Scotland has 88 post offices in its retail estate and six new outlets are expected to open in the coming weeks.
It plans to take over current post office units and introduce a Spar offering, move recently closed post offices into nearby stores and, in the case of Glasgow’s Hope Street post office, acquire a store nearby and relaunch it as a new Spar and post office.
CJ Lang corporate affairs director Archie Gilchrist said: “We feel it is an integral part of our offer that we maintain as many facilities and services as we can for customers.”
