Tesco chief executive Sir Terry Leahy has come out on top in a survey carried out by C-Store to find the most influential person in the c-store sector.

The poll, which questioned industry figures and retailers on who they thought held the most sway in shaping the c-store market, put Leahy clearly in front.

Musgrave Budgens Londis managing director Mike Taylor is in second place, with Office of Fair Trading chief executive John Fingleton third and last year’s leader - Sainsbury’s managing director convenience Jim McCarthy - fourth.
