Brothers Amir and Kashif Akram have reopened their South Wales store in Tonteg under the Budgens fascia.
The store, which they have run with their father Mohammed for the past 20 years, is the 85th independent Budgens store in the UK and the first in Wales.
The 2,600sq ft outlet now offers hot food to go and sandwiches. An in-store bakery, ATM and lottery terminal are also due to be added.
