Landmark Wholesale is on track to convert 2,500 stores to its Hot House redevelopment programme by 2010.

Giving suppliers an update on the scheme, Hot House retail controller Raj Krishan said that 31 stores were being converted a month and that 1,617 had been redeveloped to date.

Delegates were also shown that the programme had achieved sales growth of £66m over the past two years.

Krishan told delegates that confectionery and traditional grocery had seen particularly impressive sales growth in Hot House stores over the past year, up 29.8% and 23.4% respectively.
