The GroceryAid welfare helpline will be available 24 hours a day throughout the Christmas period, the charity has confirmed.

GroceryAid is able to help anyone in the grocery industry, from factory to shop floor, who is worried about their finances or is experiencing problems at home or at work.

The helpline can assist callers across a wide range of areas, such as financial support, personal issues, career support, health and mental health issues, counselling for trauma, and legal advice.

GroceryAid was formed in October from the merger of Caravan and the charity for the confectionery trade, Sweet Charity, to create a strong unified voice for the wider grocery industry.
