Frozen, fresh & chilled, and alcohol are the key growth categories for independent retailers according to a new survey carried out by Convenience Store.
When asked which products they expected to grow sales of this year, 45% of readers said frozen, while 15% said alcohol, 10% said chilled, and 8% fresh produce. Nearly one in 10 independents said they were going to increase space for alcohol this year, and 8% said they would reduce space for grocery lines. For the full results, turn to p24.
