Mail Newspapers has set up a £1m incentive fund to reward retailers for new home delivery orders for the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday.

The publisher has ambitious plans to add 200,000 new orders over the next year by offering retailers £5 for each new one.

Launching the scheme, circulation director Neil Jagger said: “We believe in the future of home delivery and, unlike most other national publishers, we will be working exclusively with the retail trade.

“As well as the £1m incentive scheme, retailers will also benefit from an additional £11.1m profit per annum from the sales of Mail titles that this scheme will generate.”

He added that all home delivery retailers would be contacted by Mail Newspapers in the next few weeks.
