Just weeks after a gang was convicted for a series of violent armed robberies and ram raids across East Anglia, police have warned that a number of groups may remain in operation across the region.
A total of 10 incidents, including armed robberies, ram raids and a break-in, have taken place in the past two months. A Londis store in Barrow and a newsagents in Newmarket were among the targets.
The spate is the worst in the county since police launched Operation Arctic, an investigation of about 150 incidents which resulted in the conviction of seven gang members. The gang will be sentenced on December 12.
