A teenager who robbed a shopkeeper at knifepoint has been jailed for two years. The 17-year-old demanded cash and cigarettes at a Co-op store in Ashington, near Henfield, West Sussex, in February. After the shop assistant handed over all the banknotes in the till the man demanded more cash and snatched a bag of £1 and £2 coins from the till.
Three masked men armed with knives robbed a convenience store in Benfleet, Essex, after wrestling with a defiant shop assistant. The robbers, who all wore ski masks, targeted Prash Minimarket in Kents Hill Road and punched the assistant repeatedly in the face when he pretended he couldn't open the till. The trio are thought to have escaped with £300-£400 in cash.
A man who robbed a store at knifepoint just one month after his release from prison has been jailed for five years. Scott Gibb, 26, who escaped with more than £1,600 from Fairfield Stores in Inverness, told a court he committed the robbery to feed his heroin addiction. Shopworkers were forced to hand over bundles of notes in a bag while the robber grabbed a handful of credit card receipts.
A thief who made his getaway on a child's bike is wanted by police for a till snatch in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset. After a struggle with the store assistant
