Costcutter is working on a major revamp of its ambient own label range. The group believes the move will modernise and reinforce both customer and retailer faith in its own-label products.
Trading controller Peter Lightfoot, who recently joined the group from Shopright on the Isle of Wight, where he was buying director, has been charged with implementing the relaunch.
He told Convenience Store: "With our anniversary year culminating with a well-supported conference, we thought it would be a good opportunity to re-focus on private label. The products and their pricing are excellent. The problem has been that while the Nisa's Heritage label products have been worked on, ours have not been updated. New artwork will modernise the range and there will be a few products added and a few deleted."
Further details on the relaunch are expected later this year when the group celebrates its 21st anniversary at its conference in Marbella.
Lightfoot added: "Major work is underway, and we need members to support the brand."
