Police in Sheffield are hunting a man who shot a c-store owner during an attempted robbery on Boxing Day.
The retailer was locking up his New Way News Store when a masked man armed with a sawn-off shotgun approached him. The would-be robber then threatened the store owner with the gun, and demanded he re-opened the store and hand over money from the till. When the retailer refused, the attacker shot him in the foot, and then in the left knee, before fleeing.
The retailer was rushed to a local hospital where he is recovering.

They demanded staff hand over the keys to the safe. However, when they refused the robbers grabbed several hundred pounds from the till and fled.
