Ten sites are scheduled for conversion early next year and it hopes to develop a network of 150 Connect franchise sites.
BP currently owns 170 BP Connect and Wild Bean Café sites across the South East of England and Central Scotland.
BP European franchise development manager Howard Nunn said: "We want to build on the success of the brands by extending them to areas in which the Connect brand does not exist."
Sailesh Sejpal, owner of Crowland Orchard Connect in Wigan, took part in the trial.
He said: "BP is quite strict on the criteria for taking on a franchisee, but the trial has been a great success."
