Bestway has announced a 20% year-on-year sales growth in stores in its symbol group division Best-one.

The symbol group currently consists of 660 retailers and has grown by more than 80 members every year since it was first introduced seven years ago.

Speaking at the group's management conference, Best-one symbol group controller James Hall announced the group's targets for the next two years. "We are aiming to break through the £150m sales barrier this year and double current sales within two years," he said.

The growth comes on the back of a state-of-the-art communications system via the new Best-one website, he continued. "The website has been considerably enhanced to also provide a members' area which allows orders to be placed online, as well as featuring the latest promotions. Within one week of opening the new website we received 32 new enquiries for membership."

Hall added that Bestway intended to increase the number of stores in the symbol group. "The key aim of the direction for us is to increase the number of Best-one fascias to new retailer members who have the best qualities to join and represent what Best-one, as one of the most dynamic symbol groups, has to offer."
