Amazon has extended its Prime Now one-hour delivery service to homes and addresses across Surrey.

The service, which delivers over 15,000 Items, including a range of essential chilled and frozen groceries, was first launched in London last June, and later rolled out to Birmingham, Newcastle, Manchester and Liverpool.

Prime members in Surrey can now get daily essentials from fish fingers to pizza, fresh juice and batteries, delivered to their door in an hour or less for £6.99, or free delivery within two-hour, or same-day, slots between 8am and midnight, seven days a week.

Jason Weston, director of Amazon’s Prime Now service in the UK, said: “Prime Now is our fastest delivery option ever. Whether it’s essentials like fresh milk or nappies, or even a last minute gift, customers love the convenience of delivery straight to their door in less than sixty minutes.”

Prime Now is different from Amazon Fresh, the full grocery offer, akin to Tesco and Sainsbury’s, which is expected to launch in the UK later this year.

One of the fastest Amazon Prime Now deliveries in the UK to date was Call of Duty: Black Ops III (PS4) which was ordered at 10:06am, shipped from Amazon’s Erdington delivery station in Birmingham and delivered at 10:21am to a postcode in Castle Vale.
