Lancashire Baker Holland’s Pies has released three £2 frozen pies. The chicken balti, chicken & vegetable and steak pies are all microwavable in under 3 minutes.

Chicken and vegetable, which the firm claims has been rated as one of the countries favourite pie flavour profiles, can be found in Holland’s water-based pastry for the first time in the baker’s 165-year history. The chicken balti pie has been adapted especially for retail after huge success in stadia across the country, adds the company.

Sales and marketing director Bill Smith-Coats said: “We’re extremely excited to announce three brand new flavours to our popular price marked pack [PMP] range, all of which are proven customer favourites, which will only further strengthen our number one position in the individual frozen pie category.

“The importance of PMPs in the convenience sector has grown even more recently, with the majority of branded goods making the move. The clear pricing structure provides transparency to consumers and is to increase shopper confidence in this channel.”
