Mondelēz International has a Santa sackful of themed products to celebrate Christmas 2015. In an exclusive for the impulse channel, Cadbury Heroes will be launched in 93g pouches priced at £1.49.

Mondelēz is also introducing Christmas themed Jelly Babies from Bassetts. Santa Babies contain a mix of berry flavoured jellies in a 165g bag (rrp: £1.32).

The Cadbury Snowman is also returning for another year, as are popping candy Freddos, which sold 2.9m units last Christmas, and Cadbury Dairy Milk Snow Bites sharing bags.

Another sharing bag worth making room for is Terry’s Chocolate Orange Minis, which Mondelēz claims was the number one seasonal novelty in 2013 and 2014.

Christmas was a great opportunity to attract new shoppers, engage current ones and drives sales, Mondelēz International trade communications manager Susan Nash said.

“In 2014, the small store average total basket spend increased by 14% during December 8.

“Display is critical and needs to be in place by the end of September as 34% of Christmas confectionery is bought on impulse,” she added.

Confectionery achieved £697mworth of sales over Christmas 2014 and Mondelēz claimed to be the leading brand with a 36.9% share in the convenience channel.
