Responding to consumer demand for stateside candy, Bonds Confectionery has released a 25-strong range of American sweets, featuring M&Ms, Hersheys and Reece’s.

Managing director Philip Courtenay-Luck says: “Although we still love our traditional British sweets at Bonds, we felt that we had to start stocking a really wide range of American ‘candy’ because the demand for it has just gone through the roof in the past two years.

The diversifying of Bonds’ offering comes on the back of a profitable year which saw an impressive growth of 75.4% in operating profits. Bonds brand is worth £10m.

“We are confident that diversifying our range will continue to build on our growth in the coming year,” says Courtenay-Luck.
