Palmer & Harvey’s (P&H) Plus Extra customers are linking with Zapper to provide store owners with marketing insight and the public with digital vouchers.

News of the partnerships come as eight Nisa stores in Peterborough prepare to go live with the “one-stop shop marketing platform” early next month.

Zapper said the agreement would enable P&H to offer its 3,000 Plus Extra members the opportunity to send targeted in-app rewards while also simplifying and speeding the in-store customer purchase experience.

It said retailers would be able to automatically send digital vouchers and incentives straight to individual customers’ mobile phones based on previous purchases.

The specially designed Z-Beacon technology allows venues to send out push notifications via the app to users within a 60 metre radius of a store venue.

These targeted marketing abilities in turn, drive footfall, increase revenue and encourages growth, Zapper claims.

Simon Harris, business development controller at P&H, said: “We are consistently looking at ways of providing new and innovative ways of driving footfall into stores. The Zapper partnership will add real value to our Plus Extra members.”

C-Store has learned that RDP, which provides the epos for Booker Premier, will also recommend Zapper to its customers. And MSP, which provides the epos systems for Nisa, has completed full integration of Zapper.

Zapper said it was in “final discussions” with many others in the sector. It said it had had just combined forced with vouchering company i-movo, whose clients include Spar, Coca-Cola, Mars and KeyStore among scores of others.

Gerry Hooper, CEO Zapper UK, said: “For the very first time, brands and retailers will both be able to instantly communicate with individual shoppers, offering real value and insight to understand specific products purchased by brand.”

The Zapper app is free to download for Android, iOS and Windows phone platforms.
